Question: How do I know if I can be a good drum teacher?

The answer is…..you don’t know!

That wasn’t very helpful. But think about it….we can’t know if we’re good at something until we do it. But if we sat around worrying that we might not be good enough at doing something, we wouldn’t do anything. We have to try things to see if we can do them. And then once we try we are able to evolve, learn, adapt and become better at what we do.

Nobody starts off as a great drum teacher. We all have to jump in at the deep end and then learn on the job.

But if you have a plan, the right resources and the right support then you can 100% become a great drum teacher.

So rather than worry about whether or not you can do it, work out if you really want to do it. And then if you do want to do it, work out how you’re going to set about making it happen.
