Welcome to my Rossendale drum lessons drum teacher profile.
I’m told that I’m widely regarded as one of the finest Blues Drummers in the North of England.
I have toured with artists visiting the UK from America. I have gigged in France, Spain, Denmark and Sweden. This has reinforced this reputation.
I have played and taken lessons in Clubs in Chicago and New Orleans developing my skills.
I recently toured California at some major Music venues culminating in a gig at The Whisky A Go Go

I have been gigging for around 40 years. My style is much more groove and feel based.
As well as being an active performing drummer, I love passing on my knowledge and experience to new drummers.
Teaching drums is an exciting challenge, one that has developed my skills as well. I really enjoy being a tutor, showing students new things and introducing them to new styles. My sessions aren’t just about rhythms and beats. We run through tuning tips, and other professional skills needed to be a great drummer.
Teaching location
I have a teaching studio at my home in Rawtenstall. It has all the tools and instruments needed. The kit is a full kit that has silent heads and triggers allowing a real feel and very realistic sounds.
I teach at a school in Rochdale which has a dedicated drum room.
I also teach at a learning centre in Ramsbottom which has its own music centre.

- PTTLS Level 4 qualification
- Have a DBS certificate
