Welcome to James’ Milton Keynes drum lessons drum teacher profile. For the unaware, James J Wood, also known as ‘Woody’ to friends and peers, is a passionate, professional standard drummer & percussionist with over 20 years experience behind the kit.
James’ dynamic playing and versatility in many styles and genres is what makes his musical applications both invaluable and exciting.
James achieved his (Rockschool Trinity) Grade 8 drums certification with Merit in December 2005 – (validated by Trinity College London) and went on to study music performance at the Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM) in Guildford, Surrey UK, alongside tutors, peers and guests such as; Chad Smith (RHCP), Mike Sturgis (Independent), Pete Riley (Independent) and Bill Bruford (King Crimson, Yes).
James has many years experience in private drum tuition.
