Five four time signature means that each bar consists of five quarter notes. The most common time signature is four four so all we’ve done here is add one beat per bar.
Although that sounds easy enough, it can feel very unnatural and takes some time to get used to it.
So in this five four drum lesson we will break down several five four grooves very slowly so you can play them along with the lesson.
