Teacher's Biography:

Hi, I’m Jo a drum teacher based in Darwen, Lancashire.

I’ve been a drummer for 20+ years in various bands in London and the North covering many genres of music.

I currently play with my covers band Tryptik who take audiences on a journey of funk, soul, disco, pop and RnB. I’ve got bags of experience of playing live gigs and festivals as a drummer and backing vocalist. I also sing, play guitar and write songs for bands and myself.

I started teaching drums in 2024 in La Corsia studios in Darwen. My career for the last 15 years has been working with children and families so i have lots of experience with engaging and working directly with children, safeguarding and I’m DBS checked. In 2024 I decided to put my passion for drumming and expertise and experience together to create Darwen Drum Zone.

I teach children and adults on the drum kit, cajon, djeme, congas and bongos and other percussion instruments. The lessons are one-to-one and personalised to your needs.
