Teacher's Biography:

Welcome to my Broadstairs drum lessons drum teacher profile.

Hi, I’m Ben Scott and I started playing drums at the age of 15 in church and at school assemblies.

This quickly developed into far greater interest, forming bands of various styles gigging locally and further afield.

This led to being signed which allowed me to tour extensively and put an album out through Casket Records with worldwide distribution from Plastic Head, which is still on all major streaming platforms today.

After continuing to play in bands and releasing albums some gaining media attention releasing videos and being booked for major UK festivals. I decided to take my education a little more seriously and enrolled into Drum Tech London, or BIMM as its now known. Where my skills went from strength to strength being able to play a myriad of different genres on a regular basis and work with some of the UK’s top session musicians, namely the bass player from the Spice Girls most recent tour.

After this I went straight into my PGCE at Canterbury Christchurch and onto working with young teens and adults teaching 1-2-1, small groups and whole classes in several schools and colleges gaining several outstanding observations throughout my career.

The end of 2017 saw a shift in my work as I’d seen a local storage unit to let. With an idea in mind I wanted to turn it into a drum teaching studio and after several months of hard work my dream was realised and now you have a purpose built studio with everything a budding rockstar could need to make it!
