Teacher's Biography:
Welcome to my Boscombe drum lessons drum teacher profile.
I started learning music when I was 7 years old in my hometown of Villacidro, Italy.
My first instrument was the clarinet, which I played in a marching band, participating in competitions and working my way from the third section of the band up to the first thanks to a lot of studying and practice.
When I was 14 I was introduced to the drums and percussion, at which point I put down my clarinet and never looked back.
I began by studying snare drum rudiments and fundamental rhythms, reading books like “Stick Control for the Snare Drummer” by George Lawrence Stone, and this built a strong foundation on which to build my own playing style and technique.
I began really on the percussion side of things, participating in small competitions in Italy, but being from a background of listening to rock, I wanted to play a drum kit. I started playing live with a kit at the age of 16 with my school, and I’ve since played in several bands in a variety of genres, from an official Ska-P tribute band in Italy to currently playing in a progressive rock band in England.
Alongside my drum performing I am lucky enough to offer drum lessons in Boscombe, Bournemouth.
I am now passionate about passing on my knowledge and experience to those who share my love of drumming.
