Learn how to use rhythmic displacement on the drum kit
This Is A Rhythmic Displacement Drum Lesson
Welcome to the Rhythmic Displacement 16th notes drum lesson. Previously we have looked at rhythmic displacement using 8th notes but here we will go one step deeper and look at 16th notes.
This is a difficult concept to get your head around, and it’s even harder to get your limbs to do what they are told!
But in this lesson we break it down to its simplest form so that a beginner drummer can understand the lesson and start to apply the ideas.
Having this deep understanding of rhythm allows you to create interesting drum beats and fills which take us away from the predictable ‘beginner’ drumming ideas that many drummers get stuck with. This gives us much more rhythmic freedom to play phrases anywhere within the bar.
