Having excellent command of your dynamics across all your limbs is crucial. Great drummers, such as Steve Gadd, are regularly called in partly because they can mix themselves whilst playing. Inexperienced drummers struggle with this and therefore the balance between their different drum kit voices can be poor and that affects the entire groove.
But we can work on this so that we have total control of the dynamics between every limb and this will vastly improve your overall sound as a drummer.
